Fantasy Picks | Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches

The PGA Tour heads to the PGA National Resort (The Champion) for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. As always here are my picks for the week. Rory Mcllroy- I have 3 uses left and feel this is a good spot to use one of them.  Stephan Jaeger- Has played in 5 events and made the cut in all of them including 3 top 25's and 2 top 10's.  Beau Hossler- Like Jaeger, has made the cut every time he has played. Also 3 top 25's and 1 top 10.  Chesson Hadley- Has 2 top 25's and 3 of 4 cuts made.  Bench: Russell Henley, Lucas Glover

F1 Fantasy Picks Bahrain

Image
After 3 days of practice last week, Formula 1 returns to racing for the first time in 2024 this weekend.  Bahrain, located in West Asia, on the Persian Gulf, is set to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024. Positioned in the desert, the course is a 15 turn, 3.36 mile circuit.  Last years race featured Red Bulls going 1-2, as Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin finished on the podium.  I will outline my fantasy options I see worth looking into for this weekend. I am playing the F1 Fantasy Game on official F1 website.   F1 Fantasy Game You are given a $1 million dollar budget to draft 5 drivers, and 2 constructors. You get 2 free transfers between race weeks, then any transfer after that is a deduction in points. You also get an allotment of tokens to strategically use throughout the year to earn points from. Qualifying and finishing position points are rewarded to your roster and constructors. Additionally, fastest pit ...

NASCAR One & Done Atlanta

Image
NASCAR heads to Hampton, Georgia to take on the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Ambetter Health 400 this Sunday.  If you saw my article last week, I am giving out my one and done fantasy picks every week. Although, I do give myself the right to change once I see cars on the track for practice and qualifying. Here is where I am leaning mid week.  2023 qualifying for the Spring race saw Ford take the first 8 positions on the grid. Then, for the race, Ford went on to finish 1st and 2nd. Joey Logano edged Brad Keselowski on a last lap pass to win by 0.193 seconds. Then, in the fall, Keselowski finished just outside the top 5 in 6th place.  Clearly comfortable on the newly repaved surface, I am going with the #6 Ford driven by Brad Keselowski this weekend.  Last week results: Daytona 500 Jimmie Johnson 28th.

Mexico Open Fantasy Picks

The PGA Tour heads South of the boarder this week to play the Mexico Open at Vidanta. This tournament may lack the "big names," but that generally brings more excitement to the tournament. Along with opportunity for other golfers to make life changing money.  Below, I will break down my PGA Tour Fantasy Expert League picks.  Tony Finau- Defending champion of this tournoment. He is gaining .915 strokes per approach to green.  Kieth Mitchell- Shots gained total of .972 off the tee. Averaging 299.7 yards off the tee.  Stephan Jaeger- The 2024 season: 4 events played 4 cuts made, 2 top 25's, 1 top 10.  Emiliano Grillo- The 2024 season: 6 events played 6 cuts made, 1 top 10, 4 top 25.  Bench- Mackenzie Hughes, Nicolai Hojgaard

NASCAR One and Done

The Great American Race is about to drop the green flag on the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.  With that comes year #2 of One and Done fantasy picks. This year though, usage will be once in the regular season, and once in the playoffs. If you are new to one and done games, they works like this: You pick a driver once a week and score points off how they finish that race. You then cannot use that driver again for the remainder of the season. The team with the most points at the end of the year wins!  Our leagues usage is once in the regular season and once in the playoffs. Points reset at the end of the regular season. However, they do not reset to zero. They reset to the amount of wins you compile during the regular season.  2024 Daytona 500 Pick With super speedways being unpredictable I am not going to go with any of the favorites.  I am going to go with a driver who will not even compete for the full lenght of the The driver I am taking is a hall of famer though. ...

The Genesis Inv Fantasy Picks

Image
I did not have a chance to publish last weeks fantasy golf picks, but I hoped for better results. Look, I try to be as transparent as possible. Also, factor in the weather delays, players finishing the previous days round while others are starting the next round. That left a tight window to fix your lineup if you work a normal 9 to 5 job. With that being said, I am still ranked 587th out of 12,000 plus in the PGA Tour Fantasy Expert League.  Now that the Waste Management tournament is over, let's move to the Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club. My plan this week is that I am going to try and look at the big picture. I came up with 3 things to consider.  1. The season is long, and this is only segment one. I am not going to go jumping on high % of owned golfers this week to try and make up for last week.  2. Riviera is hard.  3. I will focus on golfers who have proven to make cuts this year. Low risk hoping for high reward.   Ludvig Aberg Justin Thomas Sam ...
