F1 Fantasy Picks Bahrain

After 3 days of practice last week, Formula 1 returns to racing for the first time in 2024 this weekend.
Bahrain, located in West Asia, on the Persian Gulf, is set to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024. Positioned in the desert, the course is a 15 turn, 3.36 mile circuit.
Last years race featured Red Bulls going 1-2, as Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin finished on the podium.
I will outline my fantasy options I see worth looking into for this weekend. I am playing the F1 Fantasy Game on official F1 website.

F1 Fantasy Game
You are given a $1 million dollar budget to draft 5 drivers, and 2 constructors. You get 2 free transfers between race weeks, then any transfer after that is a deduction in points. You also get an allotment of tokens to strategically use throughout the year to earn points from. Qualifying and finishing position points are rewarded to your roster and constructors. Additionally, fastest pit stop, and driver of the day earn you points. You can create up to 3, however I intend to only do 1.

My Bahrain Strategy

Constructors:
1. Red Bull ($27.9)
2 Visa Cash App RB ($8.5)

Obviously with Red Bulls dominance it was not hard for me to not spend the amount for them. It was either choose the team total; or have to pay $30 million for Max Verstappen, and $20.3 for Sergio Perez. So I went with the constructor to get points for how both drivers do.

Drivers:
Ferrari- Both Charles Leclrec and Carlos Sainz looked good during the 3 day test last week. For $19.1 (Leclrec) and $18.5 (Sainz) were a fit into my strategy to build around.

Lance Stroll ($10.7) finished 6th here last year while teammate Alonso finished on the podium.

Yuki Tsunoda ($8)- I wanted to go with Daniel Ricciardo in this slot, but was short by the slimmest amount.

Valtteri Bottas ($6.4) can really get around this circuit. Has an average finish of P5 at Bahrain.

Summary

Red Bull $27.9
Visa Cash App RB $8.5

Charles Leclrec $19.1
Carlos Sainz $18.5
Lance Stroll $10.7
Yuki Tsunoda $8
Valtteri Bottas $6.4
